School Office Staff

Cynthia Mathisen - Principal

Cindy comes to Sylvan Way with ten years of elementary education experience as well as several years of preschool experience. Cindy's first experience with Sylvan Way was as a teacher in our preschool. She has earned her BA in Education and a MS in Education. Her Washington State Professional Teacher Certification holds endorsements in P-3 Early Childhood Education and K-8 Elementary Education. She recently completed the criteria for her Residency Principal Certificate.

Kayleen - Office Manager

Kayleen has been at Sylvan Way Christian Schools since 2001, before that she spent 16 years in the financial accounting field. She has a B.S. in Accounting from Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado.

Kayleen and her husband have one daughter who keeps them both very busy. In addition, they serve on the area AWANA Missionary's Ministry Board and assist with area Leader's Conferences, Bible Quizzing and AWANA Games Competition.

During the week, she can be found at Key Peninsula Baptist Church serving as AWANA Commander, Church Pianist and Church Treasurer.

Shannon - Administrative Assistant

Shannon has been a part of Sylvan Way Christian Schools since 1999 when her daughter was in Preschool. She has been a volunteer parent, Preschool Teacher�s Aid and our Administrative Assistant.

Shannon was involved with MOPS, at Crosby Chapel, as a leader and a director for over 8 years. She has a love for children and a desire to see them all grow in their love for the Lord.

Joanne - Bookkeeper

Joanne has been at Sylvan Way Christian Schools since 2000. She handles Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable and Payroll.

Joanne and her husband have one grown son and enjoy spending their free time with their two grandchildren.
