Elementary School

Sylvan Way Christian Schools elementary program is Washington State approved and meets or exceeds Washington State standards.

Each of our elementary teachers is Washington State Certified, and some have advanced degrees. More importantly, each teacher is a committed Christian who cares for each child and his/her growth.

The classroom is organized as any traditional classroom would be, but also emphasizes Christian character, beginning with salvation.

We strive for excellence in all areas of instruction. We teach language using an intensive phonics reading program coupled with the study of literature and the writing process.

Our kindergarten program concentrates on reading readiness, number and language skills, as well as social skills. Children must be 5 years old by August 31st to be eligible for this program.

We also offer extended learning throughout the year. These classes are offered after school and are age appropriate. Classes have included, knitting, drama, chorus, yearbook, digital photography, chess club, sign language, acid etching and more.
