INFANT / TODDLER ROOMS

CLOTHING

Two complete changes of clothes should be provided each day. Socks or shoes with non-skid soles work best for children beginning to walk. All clothing should be marked with last name and first initial. Clothing and supplies can be left in your child’s diaper bag/cubbie and will be used as needed.

An appropriate supply of disposable diapers and wipes must be provided for each day.

MEALS

Infants: Parents will provide food and a diet plan, which we will follow. We will adjust to any updates/changes that the parent institutes. Meals must meet the daily nutritional requirements.

  1. Breast milk/formula: Provided by parent. Each bottle and container must be labeled with child’s full name and date. Bottles must be pre-made. Milk can be served to children beginning at one year of age.
  2. Baby food/special meals: Provided by parent. Containers and jars should be labeled with child’s full name and date. Leftovers will be discarded at the end of each day.

Toddler-1: The daycare will provide a balanced lunch. Parents will provide the child’s drinks (milk/juice). All drinks must be labeled with child’s full name and date. Each parent is asked to bring in a large quantity of snack to share. Monthly menus are posted in the room.

Toddler-2: The daycare will provide a balanced lunch and snacks for children who are eating on their own. Monthly menus are posted in the room.

DIAPERING/TOILETING

Diapers will be changed every two hours, or more if necessary.

Infants: Parents are to provide diapers and wipes

Toddler: Parents are to provide diapers or pull-ups and wipes. Daycare staff will assist in toilet training after first being initiated by the parent.

REST TIME

For Toddlers, we provide a cot and clean sheets. You may pack a small blanket, with the child’s name on it, in the diaper bag.
The napping schedules are as follows:
Infants:        Please provide a napping schedule
Toddler-1:   11:45am – 2:00pm
Toddler-2:   11:00am – 1:30/2:00pm

ILLNESS

Children may only return to daycare once they are symptom free for 24 hours. However, if your child was sent home due to illness, they may not return to daycare the next day. Symptoms are fever of 100 degrees or higher, vomiting or diarrhea.

VISITATION

Parents are encouraged to visit during their lunch hour to feed, play with and otherwise strengthen the bond with their child. This is especially encouraged in the infant/toddler ages. Please check in at the Daycare Office when you arrive to get a visitors badge.
